Along the way trekkers experience warm local hospitality and gain insight into the rural lifestyle of the mountain communities. The trail winds through dense forests of rhododendron oak and bamboo which are especially vibrant during the spring season when the hillsides are covered in colorful blossoms.

As the trail ascends deeper into the sanctuary the landscape gradually changes into alpine terrain surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks. The trek to Annapurna South Base Camp provides breathtaking close-up views of Annapurna I Machhapuchhare Gangapurna and Annapurna South creating a dramatic mountain amphitheater.

Throughout the trek accommodation is provided in comfortable teahouses offering simple yet welcoming facilities and freshly prepared meals. The gradual altitude gain and well-established trail make this trek suitable for both beginner and experienced trekkers who have good physical fitness.
