Mera Peak Climbing in 19 days
Mera Peak Climbing in 19 Days is a remarkable Himalayan expedition that takes climbers to the summit of Mera Peak (6,476 meters), the highest trekking peak in Nepal. Situated in the remote Hinku Valley of the Mahalangur Himal range, this adventure offers a perfect combination of high-altitude trekking, cultural exploration and an achievable alpine climb, making it ideal for climbers seeking their first 6,000-meter peak.
The journey begins with a scenic flight to Lukla, followed by a gradual trek through dense forests, traditional Sherpa villages, alpine pastures and the pristine landscapes of Makalu Barun National Park. The route provides excellent acclimatization while passing through less-crowded trails, allowing trekkers to experience the untouched beauty of eastern Nepal. Along the way, climbers visit ancient monasteries, cross high passes and walk alongside glaciers and glacial streams.
After acclimatization and basic mountaineering training at Khare and Mera Peak Base Camp, climbers ascend via High Camp for the final summit push. Although Mera Peak is considered non-technical, the climb requires good physical fitness and the use of basic climbing equipment such as crampons, ice axes and ropes. From the summit, climbers are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of five of the world’s highest mountains Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu and Kanchenjunga along with numerous other Himalayan peaks.
With experienced guides, well-planned logistics, comfortable accommodations and sufficient acclimatization days, Mera Peak Climbing in 19 Days offers a safe, rewarding and unforgettable high-altitude mountaineering experience. The best seasons for this expedition are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), when weather conditions are most favorable.
